Maryville, Tennessee

Your list, from right here.

The List Home Services works out of 130 Dawnybrook Drive in the Westfields neighborhood, just off Sevierville Road on the east side of Maryville. That’s about 6 minutes from downtown, so looking at your job is a short trip.

The name comes from the list every homeowner keeps. Mitchell leads the crew and does the work. Bring us yours: a door that sticks, drywall to patch, a deck to restain, a gate that sags, a ceiling fan to hang.

Local notes

Knowing Maryville up close

Maryville is the county seat of Blount County, East Tennessee, with 31,907 residents counted in the 2020 census. It began on land beside John Craig’s fort, built in 1785, was incorporated in 1795, and was named for Mary Grainger Blount.

Downtown has the Blount County Courthouse, built in 1906, and Broadway, the main street, which is part of US 411 and US 129. Maryville College, founded in 1819, has Anderson Hall on campus, and the hall is on the National Register.

Chilhowee Mountain rises to the south, and its eastern flank, The Three Sisters, can be seen from almost anywhere in the city. Lamar Alexander Parkway (US 321) runs out to Townsend and the Smokies, and a greenway links Maryville to Alcoa.

What homes here need

What Maryville homes ask for

Around downtown and the college, homes tend to be older, and older homes ask for patient work: drywall repairs, trim and molding, damaged wood replacement, door and window fixes, and fresh paint. We look at the job and say what we see.

Further out, brick ranches and newer subdivisions often want decks, porches, fences, gutters, flooring and pressure washing. Rain and summer heat are hard on exterior wood, so staining and sealing are worth planning for. Mitchell talks through the order with you.
